Live TV and OneGuide will come back

One of the first features of the Xbox One has been its ability to go through live TV from your cable or satellite provider. This has been shown for the first time during the rewarded Xbox unveiling event in 2013. Since this event and Phil Spencer have resumed Microsoft s Xbox division, many features presented here have been canceled or completely abandoned, Including Kinect feature that worked with OneGuide. With the Xbox team continually moving its next console to focus on games and not on other media, application and functionality will come back?

In relation: Microsoft has a plan that can win on the price of the Xbox Series X

The short answer is no. As indicated, Phil Spencer is dedicated to the sale of the Xbox Series X as a game console above all. Since the unveiling of the console, we now know that the X series will not have a HDMI-in port that the Xbox One has which allows it to execute live TV through the box. We know it by seeing the back of the console and the ports it will have.

There are not all bad news, however. The Xbox Series X will continue to support multimedia streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, Disney + and Amazon Prime Video. Simply log in to your account with a respective service subscription and you will be able to fully enjoy what it has to offer.

In addition to removing the HDMI-IN port, Microsoft also deletes the optical audio jack, so if you have an audio system connected to your Xbox One, it will have to be connected directly to your TV.

Although some Xbox One owners can be disappointed to learn that oneguide and live television will not come back in the next generation of consoles, writing can have remained on the wall for a while. The service did not receive a lot of updates in recent years, and there is no vocal community that seems to support it because many people have abandoned their cable services for streaming services.
